Overview

It was observed that the AAA server was not sending AVP “Server Assignment Type” in SAR request because of which HSS is rejecting the SAR request with the error “Missing AVP”.

 

Analysis

Upon reviewing the recent changes it was noticed that the AAA server was restarted as shown in the logs:

After the startup the following errors were observed:

It was identified that the restart was made due to a new license that was provided to the customer and it is likely that the license was corrupt leading to AAA parsing login not being able to identify the Vendors.

 

Solution

The solution is to generate a new license with existing configurations for the customer. After that customer uploads the license and restarts AAA services with the new license
