Overview

This article explains how to check/validate if a Network Element is allowed to access the Accounting Server functionality of the AAA Server. This will allow the Network Element to send RADIUS user requests to the AAA Server. To validate this one would need the IP Address of the network element from which the Accounting Requests will be received.

Solution

• Log in to AAA Server Manager GUI and go to STL->Service policy>Radius>Radius Service Policy.
  
  
• Check for the IP address of the Network Element.
  • In case, IP is not configured there is no RADIUS Service policy defined for this client.
    
    
• Now, go to STL->Service policy->Radius->Radius Service Policy->Accounting Ruleset. Check for the IP Address of the Network Element
  • If this is a new accounting client in the network, then need to define the IP address of the accounting client in EAAA in the radius service policy, clients, and in the Accounting ruleset
